Most brides are older (and larger) than the original wearer of the dress. We have several tricks we use to upsize dresses and we can make a dress up to 10 sizes bigger or 10 sizes smaller.

We have restored dresses from as far back as 1895, and we have restyled and resized dresses from the 1920s - 1980s. We can reinforce dry rotted fabrics, or source vintage fabrics and lace to use for repairs or replace parts of a dress. Many dry cleaners offer to restore vintage wedding dresses. Their restoration gown cleaning process uses dry cleaning solvents that can damage delicate fabrics with harsh spot cleaners. We offer a gentle hand wash that is often successful in removing old stains.

We meticulously examine fabric, stitching, and embellishments, addressing stains and yellowing We reinforce delicate fabric while preserving intricate details. We replace damaged fabric by sourcing classic lace patterns and fabrics, ensuring authenticity.
After evaluating the condition of your heirloom wedding dress we discuss the fit and style. We have tricks for making garments bigger allowing for an increase of up to 10 sizes. If restyling, next, you would work with your designer to decide which design features you want to keep and any style changes. Then we create a sketch of your new look gown.
